Our Story
When we (Chris and Jess Brierley) first arrived in New Zealand, we found our stomachs rumbling for the hearty, strong and simple British flavours we grew up with. Surrounded by fellow Brits who shared our cravings, we embarked on a culinary mission to bring proper British grub back to the streets of Auckland. And so, GRUB was born.
Our food is strongly influenced by love of our families’ cooking and the nostalgia of all the tasty meals we’ve eaten over the years. We’re both proud Brits and want to share our passion with the rest of New Zealand by offering this beautiful country the mouth-watering experience of traditional, hearty GRUB.
Since 2017, we’ve converted many a skeptic to the moreish glory of the British kitchen through a menu that’s at once familiar, innovative and addictively delicious.
